This Life Is A Life Of Choice

God sent us here to make a choice to see if we will follow him. To see if we would choose good or evil. to see if we would choose life or death. The way we can choose good or evil, life or death is by if we are going to follow Jesus Christ. The first way we follow Christ is by faith in Him and His sacrifice for us so that we can repent, which is the second part of following Him. We ask for His forgiveness and strive to not do these sins again. If we do fall back down we need to get back up again and ask for His forgiveness and keep moving forward. The third part is to be baptised like Him. After He was baptised He asked us to follow Him. In 2 Nephi 31:5 it says "And now, if the Lamb of God, he being holy, should have need to be baptized by water, to fulfil all righteousness, O then, how much more need have we, being unholy, to be baptized, yea, even by water!". Then after we are baptised we are given the Gift Of The Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands. That is the forth step in choosing to follow Christ. The last step is one of the hardest steps to follow. It is to Endure To The End. What does that mean? It means that we need to follow all of His commandment and repent of our sins that we all have and continue to have. As we go through life we just keep changing for the better here a little and there a little. Alma 37:6 "Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise."

Vices In Life

I like in this video how it shows how when you get addicted to some thing that is all you can focus on. When you are stuck in that vice it is hard to get out and the best way to get out if you are stuck in the vice is to pray and turn to our Heavenly Father and ask Him for help. As you go through life stay away from things that can hold you down. As you raise your children teach them the hazards of getting addicted to things. As we learn to stay away and keep ourselves clean we will live a happier life and a more full life.

Life after Death

A great thing about the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that there is life after death. When we pass away we go to a place called the spirit world. In says in Alma 40:11-12 

"11Now, concerning the state of the soul between death and the resurrection—Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are taken  home to that God who gave them life.

 12And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow."

In the spirit world we will be able to learn of God and his plan if we did not have the chance to do so here. I love to know that we will all have a chance to have all of Gods blessing and to be able to live with Him, his Son and are familys for all time and eternity. It is such a great blessing to know were we go after this life and to know that every one will have a chanse to here this great massage and to have it bless there soul.

When it all comes down to what is really the most important thing in life you find that family is the thing that you strive for the most. Some days you might be mad at them and others you wish they wouldn't tell embarrassing stories about you. In the end you will always love them and you will always want them in your life. One of the great blessing about the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that you can be with your family for all time and eternity. I am so happy to know that I can be with my family after this life.

Word of Wisdom

The Word of Wisdom is defined in The Doctrine and Covenants 89:2 "To be sent greeting; not by commandment or constraint, but by revelation and the word of wisdom, showing forth the order and will of God in the temporal salvation of all saints in the last days.".

 It is sent from God to help us in our temporal lives or, in other words, our lives here on earth. It states that we need to stay away from the use of  alcohol, tobacco and hot drink (coffee and tea). It also tells us things that we should eat and use in Doctrine and Covenants 89:10-14

"10And again, verily I say unto you, all wholesome herbs God hath ordained for the constitution, nature, and use of man—

11Every herb in the season thereof, and every fruit in the season thereof; all these to be used with prudence and thanksgiving.

12Yea, flesh also of beasts and of the fowls of the air, I, the Lord, have ordained for the use of man with thanksgiving; nevertheless they are to be used sparingly;

13And it is pleasing unto me that they should not be used, only in times of winter, or of cold, or famine.

14All grain is ordained for the use of man and of beasts, to be the staff of life, not only for man but for the beasts of the field, and the fowls of heaven, and all wild animals that run or creep on the earth".

As we live the Word of Wisdom the Lord has promised to bless us in our lives with many different things. We can learn of this also in Doctrine and Covenants 89:18-20

"18And all saints who remember to keep and do these sayings, walking in obedience to the commandments, shall receive health in their navel and marrow to their bones;

19And shall find wisdom and great treasures of knowledge, even hidden treasures;

20And shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint."

I know this to be true and I have seen it in my life that as I have lived the Word of Wisdom I have found treasures of knowledge and health and it is a great thing to know that the Lord has blessed me with this.

Open Book Test

The lord gave us the Scriptures so that we could pass the test. It is just like in school when the teacher says you may use your notes and book to finish the test. The lord has given us the answers and the way we need to go. We just need to study them and learn to follow the rules. Its all there for us to use we just need to use it and we will pass the test. I know the Scriptures are the word of God and that as we study and pray we will find the answers we need and know how to pass the test. All we need to do is open the book and read it.

Mother's Day What A Day!

Mother's Day is a great day for us to be able to show mom's, wife's and all women in the world some true love. We should always show them how precious they are to us but on this day they are set apart from the troubles and worries of the world. How great is it that they get a day made just for them they are always taking care of others, children, and family's. There is nothing like a mother's love. The only other thing I can think of is the love the love Christ has for us. That is how amazing a mother's love is. All I know is that I love my mother for every thing that she has done for me and will do for me. I love my mother. I know that through the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ that family's can be together for ever and that I will always have my mother's love.
